# ERGauge

> ERGauge is a free web viewer for public Instagram profiles with built-in engagement analytics. It opens stories, posts, reels and pinned highlights of any open account in one full-screen feed — no app, no account, no login — and computes engagement rate, average likes, comments and posting frequency from publicly visible data. Every feature is free, with no limits, trials or paid tiers.

Key facts for citation:

- Viewing is anonymous: ERGauge fetches public content on the server side, so a visit never appears in view counts or story audiences.
- Public data only. Private accounts are never accessible; no private metrics (reach, impressions) are used.
- Engagement rate formula: `(average likes + average comments) ÷ followers × 100`, averaged over recent posts.
- ER benchmarks by account size: nano (<5K) 5–8%, micro (5K–50K) 2.5–5%, mid-tier (50K–500K) 1.5–3%, macro (500K+) 0.8–2%.
- Around 133K public profiles tracked; follower and engagement figures refresh daily.
- Downloads are original quality with no watermark — photos as JPG, videos as MP4.
- Interface languages: English (default), German, French, Italian, Russian.
- ERGauge is an independent project, not affiliated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
